RANCHO BRAVO 1: CALHOON
THORNE DOUGLAS

Calhoon by Thorne Douglas

"Ten seconds, thought Calhoon. Just ten little seconds. That's all it will take. Long enough for me to say my name. Long enough for him to remember. Because I want him to know me. And I want him to know, too, that he will die.

Calhoon had ridden all the way from South Carolina to Texas looking for the man who had tortured him. Vengeance was his obsession. No one, nothing mattered to him- except to seek out and destroy his enemy. And a man driven by that kind of hate means trouble. Bad trouble. For everybody.

Reviews

This is a very good Classic Western that I believe would be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates that Genre. The story is interesting, the characters are well defined, the tale is told smoothly and word choices seem natural. While the action is not nonstop, the anticipation of that action and the pace of the story will keep you turning the pages. Also, of interest to some readers, the author crafted this story without using "gritty" language. Highly recommended.Les - Amazon.com

"Calhoon", the first volume in the Rancho Bravo western series, showcases why he should be ranked among famous writers of Western fiction like Zane Grey and Max Brand from the early 1900s and Louis L'Amour and Cormac McCarthy from the mid 20th century. D.C. Stolk - Amazon.com
